Joseph’s Life In Egypt, Part 2

Two years after the butler was released from prison, Pharaoh had two troubling dreams involving healthy and sickly cows and grain that no one could interpret. The butler finally remembered Joseph, who was brought before Pharaoh and explained that the dreams predicted seven years of abundance followed by seven years of severe famine. Joseph advised Pharaoh to appoint a wise man to store food during the good years, and Pharaoh, recognizing God’s spirit in Joseph, chose him to rule over all of Egypt. Joseph’s promotion ensured that Egypt and the surrounding nations would survive the upcoming years of hunger through his careful planning.
