Joshua sent two spies to explore Jericho, where they stayed with Rahab, who hid them on her roof to protect them from the king’s men. Rahab believed that the Lord was the true God of heaven and earth and asked the spies to rescue her family when the Israelites came to conquer the city. The spies promised to save her if she hung a red rope from her window, showing that God can use the lives of those who choose His way.
