A House for God

Following the instructions God had previously given for the portable tabernacle, Solomon built a magnificent, permanent temple in Jerusalem to honor God’s name. When the temple was finished and the Ark of the Covenant was placed inside, God’s presence filled the building in a thick cloud of glory. This lesson also teaches that today God lives in the hearts of His people, making them His spiritual temple where they can worship Him anywhere.
