A Farmer Plants Some Seeds

Jesus used the story of a farmer sowing seeds to explain how people react differently when they hear God’s Word. Seeds falling on the road, gravel, or among weeds represented hearts where the Word is stolen, lacks roots during trouble, or is choked by the worries and pleasures of life. However, the seed in good soil represents those who hear God’s Word with a good heart and obey it, resulting in strong growth and a healthy harvest.
