Jonathan Helps David

Despite King Saul’s growing obsession with killing David, his son Jonathan remained a loyal friend who tried to reason with his father. Jonathan and David devised a secret signal using arrows in a field to communicate whether it was safe for David to remain in the palace. When Jonathan realized his father was determined to destroy David, he warned his friend, and the two shared a tearful goodbye, promising to remain friends forever.
