David Cares for Jonathan’s Son

Years after the deaths of Saul and Jonathan, King David sought out any surviving members of Saul’s family to show them kindness in honor of his friend. He found Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s son who was handicapped in both feet, and restored all of Saul’s land to him. David invited Mephibosheth to eat at his royal table like one of his own sons, demonstrating faithful love and the importance of keeping promises.
