God gave Samson extraordinary strength to help the Israelites against the Philistines, but he was eventually tricked by Delilah into revealing that his strength lay in his uncut hair. After being captured, blinded, and imprisoned, Samson prayed for God to return his strength one last time during a Philistine celebration. He pulled down the pillars of the temple, destroying more enemies in his death than he had throughout his life.
